Its truly sad news that Ara Vartoukian has passed away. Ara was Sydneys preeminent piano tuner and technician; he maintained all the pianos at the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall, and in many many private homes. He rebuilt my piano a few years back, so my students will hear and feel the benefits of his incredible piano expertise. Vale Ara, very much missed.
