A new Orchestral commission!

I’m excited to be part of a group that has commissioned a new orchestral work by renown Australian composer, Ian Grandage! The work, “Overt”, is a tribute to the former CEO of the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO), Colin Cornish. It recently had its world premiere by the AYO. with fabulous reviews! Bravo to all!

Ron has been teaching my son for over three years now. He started piano lessons with Ron as a near beginner, and has now progressed to the stage where he recently completed his AMEB Grade 2 piano exam. Ron is professional, clear, efficient and structured in his teaching. He is also very friendly. My son is loving his piano lessons with Ron and looks forward to them every week. Not only he has made a lot of progress but he truly enjoys having Ron as his teacher. He has mentioned several times how Ron is 'one of the best teachers he has ever had'. We couldn't be happier.

Ron has been my piano teacher for many years and I have enjoyed every step of the way. I am a university aged piano student and have just been awarded a credit for my AMEB Grade 3 piano exam. Lessons with Ron are always great and he caters to all whether you are just interested in learning how to play or you have questions about theory as well, he provides amazing diversity in his recommendation of pieces to learn!

I am an adult student who returned to piano after a 25-year break. I went back and started again at the Grade 3 level, have progressed to the stage where I recently passed the AMEB Piano Grade 6 exam and am now preparing for Grade 7. Ron has been my piano teacher now for several years and has taught both my daughters. Ron has a patient approach, is flexible and happy to discuss the repertoire of pieces to keep learning interesting and engaging beyond preparing for exams.

 I am a mature age piano student, and Ron has been my teacher for many years. (He also taught one of my children for a few years). I started as a beginner and a vague dream getting to Grade 5. I recently achieved an Upper Credit mark in the AMEB Grade 5 Piano exam and am now working on Grade 6 repertoire and can confidently play most pieces. I love learning piano and how it works my mind and warms my soul. Ron is always helpful, and I always look forward to my lessons with him

Ron has taught my three children over the course of many years and has proved himself to be a professional and highly skilled teacher and talented musician. My youngest daughter Jessica started with Ron as a near beginner, and has now progressed to the stage where she recently completed her AMEB Grade 4 piano exam. My 2 older sons also previously learnt from Ron, and also progressed to the AMEB Grade 4 level. Jessica looks forward to her piano lessons with Ron, she enjoys them and has made great progress, including being awarded A or A+ in all her exams to date. I have successfully completed many AMEB piano exams from P-Plate level to Grade 8 Comprehensive and Piano for Leisure and have achieved High Distinctions at every level while also achieving Honours in up to Grade 3 Musicianship. I have particularly enjoyed learning the piano and encourage it for anyone considering it!

Ron has taught my son Aiden for about 7 years now. Aiden has made terrific progress with Ron as his piano teacher and has now progressed to the stage where he recently completed his AMEB Grade 5 piano exam. My son Aiden enjoys his piano lessons with Ron and always find the enthusiasm and energy for his lessons no matter how tired he may feel. He looks always looks forward to his lessons. Ron has taught my son Toby piano for the last 3 years , and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Ron is a truly exceptional teacher. His patience, kindness and ability to bring the best out of Toby have been outstanding. Toby has just completed his Second Grade and achieved a High Distinction, having achieved a High Distinction in his Preliminary and an Honours in his First Grade. Seeing Toby grow as a musician has been a joy. Ron has a knack of inspiring confidence as he teaches - and the way he has worked with Toby, encouraging him to not just learn the notes but to try and express the emotion of each piece (and teaching him not to sweat the small stuff), has been amazing. Absolutely first class!
